Privacy notice

When you join the waitlist, we store your email address. Everything else on the form is optional, and we only store what you choose to give us: your name, company, website, role, company size, industry, the use case you would try first, the tools you use today, what hurts most, how soon you would want it, a budget band, whether you would like to help shape the product, a free-text answer, how you heard about us, and whether you agreed to marketing.

We also store technical context that helps us understand signups and prevent abuse: the page and form you used, any referral link or campaign parameters (ref, UTM source, medium, and campaign), the referring page, your browser's user agent string, and a one-way hash of your IP address.

The IP address itself is never stored. We store only a salted SHA-256 hash, which we cannot reverse, and we use it to rate-limit repeated signups. We do not store cookies for this purpose.

Separately, each attempt to start a signup adds one line to a short attempt log holding only that same one-way IP hash, the product, and the time. It contains no email address and nothing that identifies you, and it is what the rate limit counts. We keep that log for no longer than two days; it is cleared by a scheduled job on the server that stores it.

Each signup is stored as its own record with its own private link. If you sign up again, that is a new record rather than a change to an earlier one. You can change or clear your answers at any time through the link in the email we send you, or by emailing us.

We hold your details to contact you about Siglo: to confirm you joined, to tell you when there is something to try, and to involve you in shaping the product if you asked us to. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time by emailing us.

We hold the technical context and IP hash on the basis of our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and understanding, in aggregate, how people find us.

Website signups are stored in our own PocketBase instance, which we operate ourselves. Emails are sent through Purelymail using standard SMTP. We do not use a marketing CRM, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies unless you accept them. Until you accept, Google Consent Mode keepsanalytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization denied, and no analytics or advertising scripts load at all.

Google tags load only after you accept. If you later want to withdraw consent, use the Cookie choices link in the footer: it reopens the consent banner, and choosing Reject returns storage to denied. We never load advertising or analytics scripts before an explicit Accept.

If you accept, the following may load and set cookies:

• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 — to measure visits and the events described below, so we can see whether the site is useful.
• Meta Pixel — to measure the performance of advertising on Meta platforms.
• Microsoft Clarity — to understand how pages are used, in aggregate.
• Microsoft Advertising UET — to measure the performance of advertising on Microsoft platforms.

These tools are only used to measure how the waitlist performs. We push the events waitlist_started, waitlist_step, waitlist_completed, and design_group_joined to them, with the product name as a parameter. We do not use tracking pixels to build advertising profiles of you, and we do not sell data to data brokers.

Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. You can change it at any time from the Cookie choices link in the footer, by clearing that storage for this site, or by using your browser controls to block scripts from these providers.

We keep waitlist and design-group details for as long as Siglo is in development and you have not asked to be removed, and then for as long as we need to for our records. If you ask us to delete your details, we will. The hashed-IP attempt log used for abuse prevention is subject to a two-day retention limit and is cleared by a scheduled job on the server that stores it.

You have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@siglo.uk and we will act on your request.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Access to signups is restricted to the people who run Siglo, using credentials held server-side and never exposed to the browser. If something goes wrong, we will tell affected people and the ICO where we are required to.

If what the site stores changes, this notice changes with it. The current version is always at https://siglo.uk/privacy.
